Celebrate arts recovery and live programming at A4’s September Town Hall: NYC Arts Restart!

Through various recovery programs including the City Artist Corps, NYSCA’s Restart NY Live Performance Grants, Open Culture permits, and grassroot public engagement projects and residencies, New York City is reopening (however, cautiously) with a vibrant arts and cultural scene. Through artist-led programming, these events are taking place indoor and outdoors across the five boroughs this fall!

We want to hear what you’re doing to help the city arts scene recover! Whether you are presenting an art-making demonstration, film screening, or performance through these programs, or are a programmer (or venue) who is able to host or team up with another artist to present their work, we invite you to pitch your projects, upcoming events, find other AAPI collaborators, or simply introduce yourself to the A4 community.

(Please note that your participation in Town Hall does not substitute or fulfill any in-person grant presentation requirements.)

We’ll spotlight your pitches during the Town Hall rapid-fire line-up of 60-second pitches.

After the pitches and presentations, stick around for some virtual networking and conversation in Zoom breakout rooms with fellow attendees. Instead of our usual potluck, we’re asking participants to share a resource that fits into the topics of this event. It can be a quote, a funding campaign, a social media post, a book, a song, or anything.

This event is FREE and open to the public. RSVP is required to pitch and/or attend. You don’t have to pitch to attend—RSVP to enjoy the presentations, idea exchange, and the virtual company of fellow artists and organizers! We’ll send the Zoom meeting link to all registered attendees.

If you need ASL interpretation for this event, please email pson@aaartsalliance.org at least one week before this event.
