This event will take place in-person at CPR, as well as online via livestream. Participants can engage in discussion from both platforms.

Organized with Center for Performance Research, this gathering of the Performance Philosophy Reading Group is hosted by JJJJJerome Ellis, whose forthcoming book with Wendy's Subway, The Clearing, launches November 5, 2021. Ellis will propose readings and lead a discussion based on this new publication, as well as a close reading of Scenes of Subjection by Saidiya Hartman.
